2025 Toyota Camry
The 2025 Toyota Camry ushers a bold new chapter for this popular midsize sedan with an all-hybrid lineup and striking design overhaul. Gone are the gas-only options, replaced by Toyota's latest hybrid technology packaged in a sharp, modernized exterior. Despite this dramatic shift, the newly redesigned Camry stays true to its roots, delivering the reliability that's made it a staple on American roads for decades.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Toyota offers the 2025 Camry in LE, SE, XLE, and XSE trim levels. The LE comes with 16-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels and a black horizontal bar grille, which the SE swaps out for 18-inch multispoke black-finished alloys and a sport mesh grille. Both feature and bi-LED projector low/high beam headlights.
A dark metallic gray horizontal bar front grille and 18-inch two-tone multispoke machined- and black-finished wheels set the XLE apart. The XSE's distinguishing features include 19-inch alloys with a black and smoked gray finish, racing-inspired gloss-black air curtains and color-keyed front side canards, and a color-keyed sport mesh grille. Rain-sensing washer-linked intermittent windshield wipers are available on the XLE as part of an options package.
Engine (Power)
Front-wheel-drive models combine a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gas engine with two electric motors to produce a net 225 horsepower. The all-wheel-drive setup adds a third electric motor at the rear axle, bumping output to 232 horsepower — a solid jump from the previous hybrid's 208 horsepower. Acceleration feels natural and immediate. The AWD system provides added security when roads get slick, while the FWD version maximizes fuel economy without feeling sluggish.
Performance
The XSE AWD sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 6.8 seconds and runs the quarter-mile in 15.1 seconds at 94 mph. The Camry reaches a top speed of 115 mph and stops from 70 mph in 182 feet.
SE and XSE trim levels get sport-tuned suspension that reduces body roll and improves cornering. The XSE AWD pulls 0.84 g on the skidpad, showing excellent grip. Edmunds rates the 2025 Camry's steering and handling 8/10 in both categories.
Interior
A 7-inch digital gauge cluster and an 8-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen are standard on the LE, while the others upgrade to a 12.3-inch touchscreen. The XLE and XSE add a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and offer a 10-inch color head-up display as part of an option package.
Heated and ventilated front seats and a nine-speaker JBL audio system are available on the XLE and XSE, and the former also offers a driver's seat with two-position memory functionality. All models have dual-zone climate control with rear-seat vents and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
The cabin provides 99.9 cubic feet of passenger volume and 15.1 cubic feet of space for cargo with the rear seatbacks upright. Front legroom measures 42.1 inches, and rear passengers get 38 inches.
Safety Features
Every 2025 Camry includes Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, incorporating a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, and proactive driving assist.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Camry Good ratings in all crash tests, including small overlap tests on both sides and child seat anchors. Headlights earned an Acceptable score. Nine airbags, ISOFIX mounts, and an electronic parking brake with auto hold round out the safety package.
